I suppose we should take this off the HAWTHORNE board, but I do have quite a bit on the FRAZEY- I think the mother was Mary Pearsell and her parents are John and Mary Andrews. This is from research done at the Fulton County Historical Society family sheet for Runyon which was Mary's 2nd husband. Joseph Frazey, born Bef. 1760 in Pos Burlington Co, NJ; died Bef. 03 Feb 1793 in Bedford County, PA. He was the son of Stephen Frazee and Sarah Allen. He married (1) Mary Pearsall Abt. 1778 in New Jersey. She was born 1761 in New Jersey1, and died 18 Mar 1858 in Bedford County, PA. She was the daughter of John Pearsall and Mary Andrews. The grandfather of Samuel Frazey was of Scotch descent. He came from Long Island to Fulton Co., Pa., among the early settlers. While absent from home he was taken ill and died. Seventeen days later his body was found on the packing horse trail on top of Ray's Hill. It is dated June 13, 1805. If it were signed, it would entitle Mary Frasey Runyan to $5000 from Pittman and Truax if she, her late husband's heirs or Rev Thomas or his heirs ever got sued over this land. In part it reads, "...we Elias Pittman and Jacob Truax Junr, both of Belfast Township... held firmly bound unto Mary Runyan, late widow of Joseph Frasey [deceased] and sole Executrix of the Estate of said Joseph Frasey, ...; in the just sum of five thousand Dollars ..., to be paid to ... Mary Runyan, ... we do hereby bind ourselves ... and dated this thirteenth day of June eighteen hundred and five. "Whereas ... Joseph Frasey in his lifetime sold to ... Elias Pittman ...a ... parcel of land ... and for the more certainty of the contract ... in writing to said Elias Pittman bearing date September 28, 1790 a reference to said instrument may more fully appear; and ... Elias Pittman has since sold said tract ... to ... Jacob Truax Junr by verbal contract; and whereas the tract ... was surveyed in pursuance of a Warrant or Order of Survey; but the patent has not issued; Mary Runyan has condecended to execute a conveyance of title dead to ...
