Mr. Armstrong, Sorry I took this long to respond to your follow up. I also have had correspondence with Mr. Judson Hawthorne of Decatur, AL. via letter and e-mail. He seems to be one of a long Hawthorne family archivist, and a good one at that! I have one of his last copies of a book he put together about his life long research into our families. I also believe that Rev. Kedar's father was Kedar Hawthorn, b. 1767 Noth Caolina (due to Judson's research). I know the other side of this family at the time had more documentation associated with it, that's why it's a challenge to connect the dots with our side. All I have at the moment is: Kedar Hawthorn b. abt 1767 Robeson Co., NC son: Nathaniel Hawthorn b. 1790 Robeson Co., NC son: Kedar Hawthorn b. May 15, 1797 Robeson Co., NC son: Dennis Hawthorn b. 1812 Wilkinson Co., GA And your (gr x ?) grandmother Sarah Hawthorn b. 1800 Robeson Co., NC. Married John Armstrong. I'm still working out the details of our family's history and will continue to do so for a long time more. Please e-mail me or respond to this or any other postings that I do. Thanks, Paul Hawthorne Notify Administrator about this message?
