My grandfather's sister, Nora GENTRY, worked for the HAWTHORNE family in Jonesboro. My aunt recalls they lived in a red brick house on Main Street in Jonesboro. I find the family of John H HAWTHORN (son of Elizabeth and John C HAWTHORN) both of them Lawyers, on Main Street. I also found them there in 1920. In some of my aunt's photos are one of Nora and Ann, I suppose, as Nora was supposed to be a mother's helper, and even traveled with the family. Also one of a group outside, one of them Nora and some adult women and children. John H was 50 in 1930 census, and Ann was 17. If anyone has any information on this family, I would like to know, or to share the photos if someone is related.
The same Hawthorne family lived in Clay Co AR in 1880. John H had a brother, age 3 named Donald K in that household.
