Here's hoping that someone has information regarding the William J. (I think) Hawthorne listed in the 1880 Census for Cherokee Co, TX. He had relatives living in Freestone Co, TX the same year and a brother, John, in Palo County or Pilot Point, TX. John married Eldorado TETRICK, my grt.grandmother's half sister.
