Dear Marilyn:
You and my husband are indeed related..."third cousins".Isn't it great.I plugged in the data you gave me... at least what I had and figured out the relationship. Our common progenitor was John Seward Hawse. His children included your great grandfather, David Hawse and Isaac Hawse, my husband's great grandfather.Of course you know how your side goes, but David had your grandmother Lilly Hawse and my husband's grandfather was next. He was named Charles Benjamin.Next comes your parent (don't know his/her name) and Charlie's (my hubby's) father, Estes Hawse.Voila'!!!! Next is you and then Charlie.GREAT!!
We need to get together and share our information so that we can bring the more recent generations up to date.It is so sad when family loses contact. Most of the Hawses in this neck of the woods are gone.I have one son, Jonathan Hawse and 2 nephews, Ron Hawse and Brian Hawse.Unless they procreate, this will be the end of this branch of the Hawse family.Sad isn't it.
Since you have just started your genealogy, I wish you much success.I will gladly help you in any way I can.
Please keep in touch.
