Doug,

I can't answer your specific question, but I thought that it might be helpful for you to know that there was a great number of Benners and Haws who apparently knew each other extremely well (i.e., serving as witnesses on wills, etc.) and who apparently intermarried, located in the wedge of land that is near the intersection of Berks, Chester, and Montgomery Counties in PA in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Most of the information that I have indicates that they primarily lived in Chester County, more specifically in Coventry Township. But the people in this area are so close to the other two counties that in nearly all cases, some of their family are listed in Berks or Montgomery counties. I descend from these Haws, but my information for that era is not complete enough to be helpful to your specific query. But nonetheless, a search of the records from that area of PA. may be helpful to you. BTW, any information that you would be willing to share about these Benners and Haws would be greatly appreciated as it could possibly prove to be the clue that I'm searching for also.

Good luck,
Brian
