I not sure but I would like to talk to you about your heritage that you are looking for. "Anise" is a family name and it is spelled exactly that way, by any chance is your middle name "Bell". That was the name of my Great Grand mother Haws, (maiden name Hayes), who was born in Ohio and her family move west with the railroad down into Kansas and Oklahoma. In Kansas is where she meet my Great Grand father (an American Indian) Edward Haws married in Oklahoma.
And then One of thier children, Thomas my Great Uncle, moved to California and I think had another family there after either devorce or his wife died. He was married several times. Dose any of this sound familar? Either way contact me and we can compare what you know and I will see if I can help you out at all.
Sincerely, Diana Gulliksen (Haws)
