Looking for information on the Haws/Hawes Family that was from Fauquier County, Va. 1810 census lists Thomas Hawes. 1820 census lists Thomas Haws. 1830 census lists Asa Haws. 1840 census lists Thomas Jr and Thomas Sr.
I think this might be the family that Warning Haws came from. Warning Haws is first listed in the 1830 census for Allegeny County, Va. He was in Greenbrier County in the 1850 census.
In 1851 Warning's son John D. Haws got a marriage Lic. in Greenbrier County and got married to Sarah Cook in Greene County. Greene Co. is next to Fruquier Co.
