Inviting members and friends of The Hawley Society, and anyone interested in the Hawley surname, to meet in Rochester, New York, October 8th - 11th, 2009, in celebration of our diverse and united heritage.
Friday agenda includes Erie Canal boat ride to recreate the western migration of Hawley families from New England, followed by a guided bus tour of Rochester, home of Susan B Anthony and Frederick Douglass, of women's rights and abolitionists.
Saturday, our featured speaker will present "Western New York Hawleys and the Pea-Pickers."
