Not my line, just found this on newspaper microfilm while searching for someone else - FYI
The Journal of the Times Bennington VT 10 Oct 1828
DIED... In Arlington, on the 6th inst. Elisha Hawley, Esq. aged about 48. This bereavement is peculiarly afflicting to his family and numerous relatives. As a husband and parent, he was kind and affectionate; his integrity and general deportment rendered him a valuable and highly esteemed member of society.

On application of Samuel Buck, administrator on the estate of Elisha Hawley, late of Arlington...notice to all persons having demands against said estate...
notice is published, and also posted at dwelling house of Ebenezer Hitchcock, in Sunderland; dwelling house of Cyrus B Hills, and dwelling house of David Hawley, in Arlington; and at the Store of Lawrence & Bradley, in Sandgate....
...given in Probate Court, at Manchester... 4 Feb 1829.
