Hawks Family Genealogy Forum
Hello. I did some more on-line investigating this morning, and it appears that brothers, Adam and John HAWKES, might have been on the same ship in 1630 with the two HUTCHINSON brothers, George and Thomas. This was one of the ships in "the Winthrop Fleet."
This makes sense as it was only a year later when Adam HAWKES married the widow, Mrs. Anne (BROWN) HUTCHINSON. Her former husband, Thomas HUTCHINSON, had either died on the ship or within a few days after arriving. Thomas and Anne HUTCHINSON had five children, and they are mentioned as the step-children of Adam HAWKES in his will in 1672 in Lynn, MA.
This extended family moved from Charlestown to Lynn, MA, in ~1634. And, I believe they pretty much remained in that general area into the 1700's.
