The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, September 5, 1907
JAMES HAWKINS and BERTHA TUTTLE, both of Warren Township, were united in marriage Wednesday, August 28, at 3 p.m., at the parsonage, by Rev. J.H. Yaggy, of the United Brethren Church. Both bride and groom are known throughout the southern part of the county as young people of industry and
thrift. MRS. HAWKINS is a graduate of Chariton High School of the class 1906, she also taught school one year since graduation. MR. HAWKINS is a prosperous young farmer and is the possessor of a good farm in the south part of this county upon which the happy couple will begin housekeeping at once. Their many friends wish them hearty congratulations and a life of happiness and contentment in their walk together.
