I found a Hawkins group in Charles County with a couple of Thomas Hawkins born in that time frame but no wife is shown for them.It certainly may be worth your time to try and find a will copy for him to see if any of the items he inherited from his father are shown and would give you a matchup.
Henry Hawkins & wife Eleanor came to Charles County MD from England ca 1665 bringing infant son John Hawkins (born in England and my ancestor).Eleanor died and the second wife was Elizabeth Holland (first husband Francis Wynn/Wine).Elizabeth & Henry had several more children one of which was Henry Hawkins Jr.Strangely enough he had a brother named Henry Holland Hawkins.
Henry Hawkins Jr. married Sarah Smith and left a Charles County will dated 1702.They had a son named Alexander Smith Hawkins b. 1691.No wife is shown.
One of Alexander Smith Hawkins sons was Thomas Hawkins (born early 1700's) who married Catherine Brandt. He left a Charles County will dated 1774.They had seven children. One of their sons was Alexander Smith Hendley Hawkins, no wife listed, left a will dated 1768 in Charles County, and had a son named Thomas Hawkins (born mid 1700's in Charles County). This Thomas had a brother Henry S. Hawkins and a sister Sarah Hawkins Watts. The two brothers inherited the land called "Brothers" and negroes named Conster, Ralph, Dubough, Mary, Bess, Nan, Jean, Rachel, Sook, Little Bess and Cate.No other info is given for this Thomas Hawkins.
Thomas Hawkins who married Catherine Brandt also had a son named Thomas Hawkins (brother of the Alexander Smith Hendly Hawkins) who inherited the 250 acres of the land called "Saturday's Work" and negroes named Valentine & Lucy.No wife or children are listed for him.
Maybe some of that will help you connect to this Hawkins group.
