Hi, Jamie, I have a different Hawkins tree but I have run into information on a Jehu Dyer Hawkins who might at least be a relative for whom your Jehu Dyer was named (or perhaps the man himself, I don't know.) This Jehu Dyer Hawkins was a son of William Hawkins and Mary and a grandson of William Hawkins and Elizabeth Wall of Orange County, Virginia. I first found out about him in reading a book by a Mildred Showalter Farmer called the Hawkins Puzzle or something like that and have run into him in materials many times since. I think he had some nicknames and other forms of his name: John Dyer Hawkins, Sebree and Jehudiah Hawkins.I wish I could be of more help, but since this is not my line I just took enough notes to distinguish the William Hawkins in my ancestral tree from William the father and grandfather of Jehu Dyer.Kay
