Hello, and welcome to the Hawkey clan!

It appears that we have family all around the world, much to my surprize!

My brother Tom and I both live in the USA and have been researching our ancestry for a few years now, and have done fairly well on my Mother's side, but on my Father's side, we come a screeching halt on Daniel P. Hawkey who immegrated to the US somewhere around 1800 or so, from England. He married Ann Weston. But, we are not able to find any further info on him or Ann, which leads us to believe that his original name may have been HAUGHEY, and had emmigrated from Ireland, or McKeough and emmigrated from Scotland, and changed their last name to the English spelling.

But we cannot confirm that. I believe that Daniel came from Cornwall.

Ring any bells?
