I have William Hawk , son of John & Susannah (Krebbs/Crabbs) Hawk, and his wife, Nancy, living in Champaign Co., IL in the 1850 census. William dies in 1857 in Champaign Co. and is buried at Phillippe Cemetery. In the 1860 census, you will find Nancy Hawk in Champaign Co., IL. She dies in 1861.
In fact, William's brother, Nathan, shows up in Champaign Co., IL in the 1870 census. One of Nathan's sons,Isaac,is listed coming from Brown Co., Ohio in the "Partial List of Patrons" from History of Champaign County, Illinois, 1878".
