Hello John, here's some info for you. If your ggGrandfather was JOHN HAW who married MARY LAZENBY of Dishforth and who migrated to Wisconsin, then welcome home to our side of the family!
Briefly, here's the direct line straight from Dishforth:
1. Simon Haw(ca 1720-1769) m. Mary Kendill
2. William Haw(1742-17800 m. Elizabeth Pickersgill
3. Simon Haw(1776-1849) m. Jane Wimterburn
4. John Haw(1806-1858) m. Mary Lazenby
John and Mary Lazenby had 9 children...they were ggGrandparents of ours(and Judy Harris-see Messages and Chris Frary). My ggrandfather was George Haw, Judy's was Simon Haw and yours was Rev.John Haw...all brothers. Rev. John Haw was born in Dishforth 26 Mat 1842 and died at Augusta, Eau Claire County, WI., 29 Sept 1918.
I have a lot of info to share with you. Please contact me at michaelhgraham@home.com
How very good to learn of you. I'm sure Judy Harris in Arkansas would like to hear from you. And Chris Frary in Oakland, another of Simon Haw's gg Granddaughters. Michael Haw Graham
