Soc. Johann Dierk Heifner and wife Elizabeth came to NC via the ship Phoenix from Heidleburg, Germany on 10/20/1744, where their name was spelled Hafner. This info was written by James T. Dunwody. He decended from Obediah, Margaret Elizabeth, Anna Dunwody, James T. Dunwody. According to the Marion Co Historian, I think her name is Harris, James died in the late 1990's.
