Attention Irish Haviland researchers
Due to recent findings in the Haviland Y-DNA study it is believed that those bearing the name Haviland (formerly Havlin) of Irish descent are not related to the Haviland / De Havilland families originating from Guernsey (and possibly Neustria). We are dealing with two separate families with no paternal relationship, whose names originated differently.
