The Children of Sophia Haviland and Jesse Lane according to Josephine Frost are as followed
1. Gilbert, b 23 of 7 mo.,1767; m Susan Leech; their daughter Abby m Benjamin Haviland, son of Samuel of Patterson.
2. Benjamin, b Oct. 14, 1769: m.Deborah Halstead, b. Jan 25, 1773: Their ninth child was Nehemiah Benjamin, who m Abigail A. Knowlton, the parents of Susan Lane (Mrs George H.) Kennedy of 23 Franklin Place, Morristown, N.J., in 1899. She writes that Jesse Lane was b. in North Castle, NY., and that the house is still standing, and that her fathers's sister, Deborah A. Wood, lived next to him, and that her daughter, Ann Eliza Wood, M. James Haviland, son of John.
3. Charity, b. Feb 2, 1772; m David Mooney.
4. Susanna, b. May 6, 1774; m William Stowe.
5. David, b. Dec. 6, 1776; m Susan Nash; their grand daughter, Hannah Vail, m Daid Haviland
6. Sarah, b. April 8, 1779; d Aug 24, 1869; m Silas Jennings, who d. Nov. 16, 1854, aged 75 years, 6 months and 12 days; both are buried in Gerow Cemetery in Haviland Hollow, NY.
7. Jesse, b Oct.29, 1781
8.Daniel, b June 4, 1784
9. Elijah, b. April 22, 1787; m Lucy Church.
10 Samuel, b. May 20, 1789; d Aug.30, 1855; m., first, Feb. 8, 1811, Betsey, b. 13 of 10 mon., 1791; d. 19 of 12 mo., 1818; buried in Haviland Hollow, NY.Daughter of Daniel and Esther (Griffen) Haviland; he m., second, Mary , the sister of Betsey, b 4 of 8 mo., 1796; d 23 of 1 mo., 1873; m 20 of 5 mo., 1820.
All this is as written in the book.
The other hint I can give you is that there is a book, "Allied families of Purdy, Fauconnier, Archer, Perrin," Anna Falconer,. New York. Frank Allaben Geneal. Co..c1911. Page 21 That list the Park Family of Rye, New York.
I ran across this while researching The Haviland line as they all seem to intermarry. I did down loan this page but I believe there is more. Found it on Ancestry.com.
Jesse Lane is mentioned in a few other spots in the book but just for wills and such. If you want, at another time, I can give you that.
