Dear Larry, George Haven Usher does not mean anything to me. However, you mentioned an article about the Haven family of Watertown, NY. I would LOVE to see what it is. My husband is from Watertown originally and his gr grandmother was Alpharetta Haven (sometimes spelled incorrectly as Alfaretta) and was known as Retta Haven in the 1880 Census. She married Gaius Oatman of Adams Center, NY. I cannot get back to her parents. Believe she was born in 1862 probably in Oswego, NY. Any information you might have will be greatly appreciated.
