I have updated my info regarding my Havard side, since I originally posted in 2000. My great-great grandfather was John Havard, born 1817, Abergavenny Monmouth Wales. His wife was Mary, born 1819, Pontypool Wales. They lived on Osborne Road, Trevethin, in the 1881 and 1891 census. Their son John T Havard, my great-grandfather, born 1861, Pontypool, married in 1882 to a MaryJane Davies, born 1862, Garndiffaith, Monmouth. They had a son, my grandfather Thomas Godfrey, born 1885 in Pontypool. My gg grandfather John T remarried at some point, after 1885 I assume, to a Gertrude Eva ??. I do not know her maiden name. She lived til 1954. John T died in Penarth, 1941. I am trying to find out when MaryJane died and what Gertrude's maiden name was. Anyone who can help would be most appreciated.
