DIVORCE -- Eliza C. HAUSKINS filed an application in the District Court yesterday for a decree of divorce from her husband, Clayton T. HAUSKINS. The complaint sets forth that the parties were married in Wisconsin in December 1838, where they continued to reside until March, 1849, when they emigrated to California. They lived together in this State until June 1858, when the husband willfully deserted his wife and family, and has since, in no way, provided for the support of plaintiff or that of her children. She does not know his present place of residence, but believes him to be living in the State of Illinois. Plaintiff has 10 children as the issue of the marriage, 6 of whom were born in Wisconsin and 4 in California. She prays for a divorce from her husband and for the custody and care of her children.
