Adam HAUSER & Catherine SCOTT
I've come across some bits of information on the web and wondered if there is a connection here. Can any of you confirm it?
We know that Adam HAUSER, Jr. (1819 - 1895) married Catharine SCOTT (1820 - 1899) on August 16, 1842.They had several children (including my Great-great-grandmother, Margaret Elizabeth "Bettie" HAUSER).
It is reported that a Daniel Wentworth SCOTT, Jr., married twice in Surry County, NC.First, on May 23, 1818, to Catherine COE, and second, on March 9, 1821 to Elizabeth FLIN.It appears that Daniel Wentworth SCOTT, Jr., and Catherine COE had one child, Catherine SCOTT, who was a significant legatee in the 1836 will of her grandfather, Isaiah COE.Apparently, also, Catherine SCOTT was born about 1820 as her mother, Catherine COE, had died before Daniel SCOTT's second marriage in 1821.
Is there a possibility, or any proof or connection, that Catharine SCOTT, wife of Adam HAUSER, is the daughter of Daniel Wentworth SCOTT, Jr., and Catherine COE, of Surry County, NC?
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!
