It depends. Which Philip and Henry Haupt? There were two. There was Johann Philipp (d. 1813) and his son Henry. The other was Philip Haupt (b. 1758 d. 1832) and his son Henry. This second one is my line. The second line should work fine with SAR. Philip Haupt (b. 1758) served under the name Philip "Hope". His widow Ann Margaret Haupt claimed his pension #5204. He served with PA 2nd Regiment of Foot in the 1st PA Brigade under Col. Thomas Hartley and Gen. Anthony Wayne. Rev. War Payroll Records exist for him.

Both of these Philip Haupts resided in Northumberland Co., PA.
