I too have been looking for Hauntz family connections. My Grandfather was Walter G. Hauntz, son of Henry Jesse Hauntz and Miranda (Canary) Hauntz. Henry Jesse was the son of John Hauntz. Have seen several spellings of the name including Hontz, Hauns, Houns and Hounss. My cousin just forwarded me some paper work sent to her by Kathleen Hontz. A lot of the names that appear are familiar to me even though the spelling is different, also the dates that I can remember hearing when I was a youngster seem to coincide with those on the paper work.
