Hi Kate

Thanks for passing this on, I appreciate the info even though at this stage I have no Sam or Sarah in our line as of yet! But will certainly keep this on file as the you never know Sam may end up being a brother to my James.

How are you going with your Haughey's in Australia?

I am on the hunt for a John Haughey/ie b. 11th March 1863 in Scotland but came out here with his family in 1874. He is mentioned on his Fathers death cert in 1898 but not mention on his mothers death cert in 1914. So one of two things he fled the country & just maybe went to Aus or he died prior to 1914.
The other brother I am on the hunt for also is James Haughey/ie b. 25th March 1859 in Scotland and again have details of him here up until 1874 when he arrived other than that he seems to have disappeared too.

I have a Annie Haughie born in 1897 here in NZ I have just found and I know she doesn't belong to my Joseph Haughie so just maybe she will turn out to belonging to one of the boys mentioned above.

So little info to go on but if you come across a James or John with there parents being James & Bridget Haughey/ie, I would be most greatful for any info.

thanks again
Hamilton, NZ.
