This is a late posting as I have not worked on this for a while. My great grandfather William Haug emigrated from Wurtemburg to Baltimore in 1884 or 1885, three sons, one a priest at a school in Baltimore, one lived in Kingston, NY eventually amd my grandfather, John, only of children born in US was born in 1887. William ran a grocery in the 800 block of 1st Ave NYC, where UN building now stands. John was second licensed cab/limo driver in NYC, moved to Staatsburg/Rhinebeck area in 1923. He was a sales Mgr for Van Loan & Co. in NYC, a spice company now out of business.
