Grate Grandfather (name unknown) died of smallpox during the thirty year war in Germany. After the estate was settled,around 1870, at age 21, August Sr. came to America and settled around St. Benedict,Kansas. Married and born 15 children. My father, August B. was the 7th born 1883. August Sr's Brothers, John Baptist, Reinard, and Theodore, also followed to America later (Date unknown)I, Robert, am the youngest of 14 chiildren born to August B. and Blanch B. Haug/Becker)
