NY Haucks
I am shocked at this message board's existence.I grew up believing that the Hauck name was very rare, but obviously not. This is cool.My knowledge of my paternal lineage extends only as far back as my great grandfather. His name was Frederick Hauck and he was born c. 1893.He was married to Margaret Hauck born c. 1897.He died around 1957.She died in 1985.They had two children; Margaret 1910-1991(?), and Raymond 1920-2000.They lived in the Glendale section of Queens, NY near the Brooklyn border.Raymond is my Grandfather. He married Katherine Oberheim (1920-1996), in 1944 and they had seven children; Raymond Jr. (my dad), Andrew, Susan, Gregory, Katherine, Gerald, and Barbara. They continued to live in Glendale until the late 60's at which time they moved to Miller Place, Long Island. In the late 80's they moved to Jacksonville, Florida and lived out their lives there.
If this sounds familiar to anyone, or if anyone can add to this lineage, I would surely love to hear about it.
