J. Van Hatten who seems to be mistaken for on of his children offten times Van loyd hatten, married a lorena louise langston daughter of Benjamin D. Langston and Johanna langston. J. Van Hatten was born about 1879. and his wife was born March 16, 1876 and died 22 July 1963.
They were married in marrion county 30 sept 1900. Source being marriage record. Lorena Langston is buried at society hill baptist church off of langston road next to her parents and one two her kids Benjamin Lamar Hatten and Van Loyd Hatten and benjamin Lamar Hatten's Wife Edna Earl Haynes. According to the 1910 Record J. Van Hatten and his wife were living in lamar county possibly Sumrall, Mississippi, with 3 of their children out of 4 children.

1) Robert Stilwell Hatten Sr. B: 17 sept 1901 in Columbia, Mississippi Married Doris Green of Lake Alfred, Florida in January 4, 1927 and lived in Live Oak, Florida
they had 2 kids
a)Robert Stilwell Hatten Jr. B: 11 July 1928 Live Oak, Fl

2)Benjamin Lamar Hatten B:1 May 1906 and died 9 May 1970 He was born in Lamar County and Died in Jefferson Davis County around Bassfield, Mississippi married Edna Earl Haynes From Jefferson Davis County. They had no kids.
Note: Bassfield, Mississippi is where of the greatgrand kids of peter lamkin Hatten and Lucy ann Carter are living at, at this time. Peter lamkin Hatten changed his name from hatten to hatton on account of the english spelling and later had nothing to do with the rest of the hatten family from Mississippi especially from Wiggins, Mississippi.

Peter Lamkin Hatten and Lucy Ann Carter are found with thier 5 Kids in the 1900 census of covington County Census.

3)Alywishy (Alawisha) Hatten was born 27 Nov 1907 in Sumrall, Mississippi and died 18 Oct 1964 in Baton Rouge Louisiana. He Maried Stella Mae Hawkins of Chicot, Louisiana on 16 Oct 1935. Tey Had one Son
a3) Alvin Earl Hatton born 23 December 1939 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

4) Van Loyd Hatten born 8 June 1910 and died 4 june 1913

So with this information can anyone tell me who J. Van Hatten belongs to who are his parents?

one interesting note in the 1910 census record of lamar county J. Van Hatten lived in house number 44 and in the same beat John L. Hatten who was born 1853 in lamar county
and was the eldest son of Lewis lamkin Hatten and Mary Compton and was married to Catherine williamson according to their son's death certificate william arthur hatten who married Mattie rhodes lived in house number 50 and 51.
It also states on the census that J. Van Hatten's Parents were both born in Mississippi.

On a funeral record of Benjamin Lamar Hatten from Colnial Funeral Home in Bassfield, Mississippi he has a New York Social Security Number 091-14-3730. Explain that.

THankyou for your time Vince Hatten
