Hope someone there can help me. I am researching my husband's family, Hatmakers and Queeners. His Grandfather was CHARLES EDWARD(ED) HATMAKER, born April 3, 1875 died May 28, 1960. He was married to Nora Queener Myers in November 25, 1903. They lived on Mount Paran Road in Jacksboro all their lives and Charles Hatmaker was a farmer. They had 7 children: Theodore, Auretus(Rita), Floyd(Ot)Othenial, Bascom (was killed in a Hickey mining accident in his early 20s, Ola, the youngest son, and a set of twins, Imogene and Ella Jean.
CHARLES EDWARD (ED) HATMAKER's father was either WILLIAM OR BILL HATMAKER born about 1825. He married Martha Jane Queener on September 9, 1855, Martha was b. June10,1832 and she died May 11, 1885. I have hit a major stumbling block here. I can't seem to find any information on William to tie him into an particular group of Hatmakers. He could have had some relatives from Kentucky. If it helps any, Martha Jane's parents were Thomas Queener and Susan Rains. All of this family was born and raised in Campbell County as far as I know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
