Yes, I do have a James and a Charles Hathhorn in my family tree, and my (and their) branch of the family came out of Missouri, via Idaho and Montana, to Oregon and California. I seem to recall someone settling in or near Klamath Falls.
Unfortunately, I have just now found that my Family Tree Maker files (and backups) have been deleted or corrupted, so I'll have to get back to you with the details later on after I re-enter the data and get it so it makes sense --maybe after the weekend.
In the meantime, try asking Harry Hathhorn at < dkm@atcnet.net >, of Arco, Idaho. He is my uncle, via Barbara, his niece and my mother, although, to my recollection, he and I have not met. Still, you might want to mention that I sent you his way; it might help.
