Hi Marsha, Thank you for the information from Diana Layfield Finch.I have seen several post on this site from her.I wish I could get in touch with Diana, but her email is old .I tried it.We are cousins some way.I have also seen post from a Christy Layfield Fallen here too.She also has info that I could use. One of TJ's son's was her gr grandfather.Thomas J.Layfield first wife was Nancy J.Foster.married 1884 she died in 1900. I think she may have been married before because on a census I saw two children with the last name of Cook listed as his stepdaughters. Her mother was on the same census Mary G.Foster living with him.At the Mt.Calvery Cemetery the two grave markers beside TJ.Layfield only have the first name's and wife of TJ.Layfield on them.My sister and I have wondered about them for years.I didn't know that his second wife Louise last name was Wilder. They married in 1901.He married Dolly in 1902.Do you have all of TJ.Layfields childrens names ?I guess he only had three wives.Back then they were some getting married baby making folks. I did see on TJ's death record on a site owned by it listed his father as Jim Layfield and his mother as Molley Terry.I just can't remember where lol. I have been trying to find out more about both of them just like Diana.St Clair Co.covers a lot of territory.I posted a message on the Georgia genealogy site today.I saw a recent post by a man who said he had information on Layfields there.I hope I get a reply. Were Andrew Hathcock and Charity Awtrey married more than one time ? My brother said that Granny would point at a picture in a oval frame and said that was her mother and daddy. That was a long time ago.We thought that it provably went to one of Aunt Tressie's grand children after she passed away.I did find a couple of Dolly's sisters picture's on I will have to look again.I can't stay on for long.I'm trying to find out as much information as I can while I have the $$.I have already found out in three weeks what my family didn't know before. Thank you for getting back in touch with me.You can also email me if you like .So if your gg-grandfather was Dolly's brother then we are is it 4th cousins ? Thanks again, Amanda Edwards
