Douglas Hathcock's 1984 book,"Hathcock Families of Alabama", has this information about Isiah Hathcock.Isiah born in 1810,(probably in North Carolina). He married Sarah Ann Walker, daughter of Sackfill Walker and Sarah Huguley, Dec. 7,1836. Isiah lived in Russell County, Alabama in 1840. He moved to Alabama from Elbert County, Georgia. His son, Sackfill Hathcock appears in the 1850 & 1860 census of Tallapoosa County, Alabama. He married Mary E. Hoyle, Jan. 25, 1866 in Russell County, Alabama. Doug's book doesn't mention where he died. What's your source for his death in Saint Clair County? I would be interested in any other info you have on Isiah. He's in my branch of the Hathcock family. My ggg grandfather, Dancy Hathcock, moved from Elbert County, GA to Madison Co.,AL, then to Saint Clair Co. between 1816-19.I was born in Saint Clair County in 1944 near Ashville.
