Joseph Rhone HATHCOCK was the son of Richard Henry Hathcock & Rebecca Ann [Johnson].
Richard Henry HATHCOCK (from obituary & Tx death record):
"Richard H. Hathcock, 71, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Bessie Wood. He was survived by his wife and 8 sons: W.S. Hathcock of Indiahoma, OK; Jess Hathcock of Burleson; Joe HATHCOCK of Roane; R.A. Hathcock of Alvarado; Lester Hathcock of Cleburne; and E.H., Clarence and William Hathcock of Fort Worth. Also survived by 4 daughters: Mrs. Mae Emberling of Katy, OK, Mrs. Viola Beason of Athens, and Mrs. Myrtle Jewell and Mrs. Bessie Wood of Fort Worth. Also a brother Nathan Hathcock of Ennis and a sister Mrs. Lenn Wilkerson of Mabank. Burial in Duke Cemetery in Alvarado."
His Tx death certificate #6975 shows that he was born 20 June 1857 in Alabama and died 29 Jan 1929 in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co, Texas. No information on parents. He was married. Informant was R.A. Hathcock of Alvarado.
Joseph Rhone HATHCOCK, Sr (from obituary +Tx death record):
"Joe R. Hathcock, 74, of Dallas died unexpectedly at Houston. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors include his wife, one son J.R. Hathcock of Dallas and 4 daughters." His Tx death certificate says he was born 5 Nov 1892 in Montgomery, AL and died at age 74. Information on parents not available. Informant was Mrs. John L. Walker (his daughter Essie Mae). Burial at Moorehead Cemetery in Eustace, Henderson Co, Tx (near Athens).
Joseph Rhone HATHCOCK Jr (from obituary & Tx death record:
"HATHCOCK, J.R, 53, was a truck driver for Arkansas-Best Freight Systems for 16 years. He was a native of Mabank, Kaufman Co, Tx and had been a Dallas resident for 33 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Survived by wife Opal, 2 sons, 2 daughters, 4 sisters and 8 grandchildren (photo with obituary)."
On same page there is a funeral notice and it listed him as "L. R. (Jay) HATHCOCK survived by wife Opal; sons Larry Hathcock of Grand Saline & Johnny Gray of Dallas; daughters, Mrs. Brenda Sue Fortner of Dallas & Mrs. Sandra Faye Baker of Richardson; 8 grandchildren; 4 sisters. Burial at Crown Hill Cemetery."
Tx death certificate listed his birth date as 24 June 1920 in Mabank, Tx. Parents were J.R. Hathcock, Sr and Pearl Cornelius. Wife was the informant.
No listing was found for Mrs Rebecca Ann [Johnson] HATHCOCK on the 1903-1940 TX death index but she did survive her husband. She was probably living with one of her chn in 1930 so I will check their census records.

Mrs Pearl Lee [Cornelius] HATHCOCK was the daughter of Alfred Cornelius & Sarah [Tidwell]. The following gravestones are found in the Moorehead-Melton Cemetery, 3 miles southeast of Eustace, Henderson Co Tx on CR 2904:
