Hi Kevin,
I am the genealogist for the Hathaway Family Association and I have some info on Francis found in our book, Hathaways of America 1970 Edition, pg. 913: Francis Timberlake,5, (John4, William3*,2,1) b. Fauquier Co, Va, 21 June 1779; d. Barbour Co, WV, 1 Apr 1856, bur. there prob. with both wives; he m. (1) Catharine Arnold, mother of older children; m (2) 18 May 1839, Mary Ann Moore Adams, dau. Lewis and Elizabeth Moore, widow of Ephraim Adams, b. 17 Aug 1804; d. 10 Apr 1855. He had known his second wife only a few days prior to their marriage; she was mother of youngest two. He had inherited 280 1/2 acres of the Tygart River Tract, and 10 Jan 1820 bought out his brother (Henry L)'s share for $800. This land was near Philippi, county seat of Barbour County. He had 17 children.
