Stirring up controversy! lol Well, I might BE a Hatfield for all you know. That would definitely put me in the gene pool having that one trait in common with the Hatfield's.

If someone has a picture they'd like to send me, I'll gladly tell you if I see any resemblance between the picture and the Hatfield's. If I'm wrong, and you'd like to go through the DNA process, then there's no problem by me. I don't profit by posting to this thread, and I'd gladly comment for free at melissa.frame@hotmail.com. Maybe they'll do your "DNA" testing for free too, since they're committed to telling the truth.

Funny how I see it as "telling the truth" and "saving researchers valuable time" and you see it as "stirring up trouble" - if the moderators find anything wrong with my postings, then by all means, report me and let them decide. I've answered your queries. I'm simply trying to save people time and money researching, because having researched several families, I know it takes a lot. Like I said, though, doing the footwork themselves has never been a hallmark of this family. And I have several friends that are TRUE Hatfields. So, I feel like by posting here I'm preserving their history and helping them, the ones who are nice. I think they'd appreciate it. Besides, anyone who knows the Hatfield's know that what I say is true. If I'm wrong, prove me wrong.

By the way, since posting this, I've seen a Hatfield, and I'd say they're perfectly aware of my postings on this board. I'm not doing it to be harmful, but rather helpful to the ones who are my friends, and who have taken a bad reputation because of what SOME, not ALL, family members have done. I think those responsible need to own up to their own misdeeds and apologize to their OWN family first. This forum could be the best place to start that...we might actually see something happen here. *shrug*
