Hatfield Mansion in Philadelphia

I am not a Hatfield but live very near the home site of Dr. Nathan L Hatfield and his family in Philadelphia. As I am researching our neighborhood for a booklet for my grandchildren I learned that the Hatfield home/mansion once stood at the corner of present day Hunting Park Ave and Clarissa St. The mansion was moved intact to Fairmount Park in the 1930s and can be found on the Park's web site by entering Hatfield House in the search engine. This would have been the childhood home of Dr. Nathan Hatfield Jr(sic), Walter Hatfield, and Henry Hatfield. I also discovered that Dr. Hatfield Sr. was a member of the first graduating class of the Thomas Jefferson University in 1826. Lastly, this family was very community minded, as a huge high school and junior high school were built on land that was once part of the Hatfield estate, and there is an open ball field with a small field house in what would have been the backyard of the mansion which untold generations of Nicetowner's have used along with the Nicetown Boys and Girls Club members. If and when I glean more information I will post it to your site, and welcome any questions I may be able to help you with.
