Hatfield researchers, please advise:
Looking for more information on Sarah Jane Hatfield, daughter of George Hatfield (b. 1860 Campbell, TN and son of Nancy Broyles and James Hatfield) and Elizabeth ??? (would appreciate ANY info. on her maiden name.) George is buried in Jellico, TN. This Sarah Jane is my husband's great-grandmother, and we would SO appreciate info. about her family. She married a Richard E. Norris and lived in KY. She had a daughter named Irene Hannah Norris, my husband's grandmother. It has been speculated that Cherokee or other Native American blood can be traced through Sarah's lineage. She had very dark eyes and auburn hair. She would often leave the family in KY and go off on long trips to what we assume must have been Tennessee. George's mother Nancy has been listed as being born in TN, or NC. Can someone please clarify? Thanks in advance!
