Hi Bryson, thank you! I believe Isaac T. Hatfield is listed in the 1860 census as J. T. Hatfield, age 10 mos. The census is dated 26 Jul 1860, so by the census in 1870 he would have been 10 mos. And like you, I haven't been able to find him since. I'm sure "William" in the 1870 census is Willie Ann. Do you know anything about Jonah's parents? Or do you know anything about any of Jonah and Phebe's other children? I just found out in the last 2 weeks that Willie Ann Hatfield-Steele is buried at Oakland Cemetery in Dallas. A friend of mine and I went out there today to see if we could find her grave, or her husband Luther's. We did find her marker, but there's no marker for Luther. Their son, Frank, was my grandfather, and was an only child (except for a baby daughter they had who lived only a few weeks...don't even know her name). Since Frank was an only child, information about his parents (Willie and Luther) or other ancestors has been very difficult to find. I have a hand-written note on a scrap of paper that says "Willie Ann Hatfield was married to Luther Levi Steele October 23---1886." I'm assuming Willie Ann wrote it. It looks to be a torn page from a family Bible, possibly. Thanks for your help! Judy Notify Administrator about this message?
