Iagree with you about 99% , as far telling others what todo with their property , i am no one to tell anyone , our government on the other hand has always told others what they can or cant do with their own personal holdings, land and even ones own body . that is where the rights of tax titles, zoing codes and drug laws as well as public safty and other guide lines come into play thatare enacted on public trust within the guidelines of us code and what people will permit . it will always amaze me how many people will abdicate their first admendment rights without thinking things over first . but thats neither here nor there as far as transfer of hard fgoods i am no one to say who should or should not buy or sell anything , my point was that all costs a record of our history must be preserved if not for any one family than for the common good that we may over time develope a accurate social pictures for future generations .
as far as the baptsim for the dead , i have always thought that verse ment for those who had never recieved a baptisim , i have family of mixed religious backgrounds and some were ministers and preachers, in fact my ggggg grandfather james ambrose bush had a brother capt william who was the first baptist to build a church on kentucky soil when he came from virginia with his cousin daniel boone . i myself am catholic and believe in one baptisim for the forgiveness of sins . it is as i understand that in the book of luke Christ tells nichodemas ( YA'NA'DOMA ) that all men bust be born with fire and water ( baptisim )and that all men must be born from above ( ado'em) which nichodemas misunderstands as being 'BORN AGAIN " a popular montra of evengelical circles even today , yet in the next verse Christ rebukes him and tells him that through the birth of the spirit (baptisim ) that man becomes a new creature and is then and only then reborn . This however is a matter of relgious belief and is better left off a genealogical forum, as i have prob already said too much . when i comes to faith i say each to his own , that is true freedom .but my bottom line point is i hope that someone will put history ahead of profit and aleast copy these historical records for the rest of us before they sell them to an artist in soho who thinks its cute to amke little paper hats off of the only birth or migration pattern records of a particular family . best wishes - s. bush
