Thank you Christine for posting this. I did not have a complete birthdate for Winifred, so I'm now able to update that.
Winifred Lane Hasty was born in Marshville, Union Co. NC, a son of John Wilkes Hasty and Flora Alice Harrell. Lettie Ann Leonard was his wife, and they resided in VA.
Winifred's paternal grandparents were Jesse Caswell Hasty and Elizabeth Mary Austin. His maternal grandparents were Joseph P. Harrell and Mary Melissa Ross. They were all of the area of Union and Anson Co. NC.
Winifred and Lettie had at least 2 children that survived to adulthood. Their son, Winfred Lane Hasty, Jr., died in 1987, leaving issue, and their daughter, Frances Faye Hasty, died in 2003, also leaving issue.
