Would like to hear from anyone connected to this family :)
Patrick HASSETT (c. 1855 Waterford, Clare,Ireland - d.1918 - par: William HASSETT & Ellen GRANT) married Norah AARON c.1865 (born where? d.1935 - par: James AARON & Mary O'NEILL ) in 1890 Gympie, Qld, Australia.
Children of Patrick & Norah Hassett...(all born in Qld, Australia)
1. Edward - b.1891 (d.1963) m. Mary Elizabeth SIDDAL 1923
2. William Patrick - b.1892 - (d.1963) - married? 3 wives to choose from lol
3. Mary Ellen - b.1893 (d.1977 never married)
4. Norah Helena - b.1895 (d.1983) m. Alexander Land BODEN 1923
5. James Grant - b.1897 (d.1965) m. Madge BLUNT 1932
6. Thomas Joseph - b.1898 (d.1960) m. Ruby Hazel BARNES 1958
7. John O'Neill - b.1903 (no death date) m. Ellen FLANNAGAN 1927
8. Leonard - b.1906 (no death date) m. Helen GARDINER 1934
Family folklore suggests John or Leonard (I think it was Leonard) may have moved to the US.
I checked the Ellis Island records, but could not confirm anything.
I found an Ainsley Thomson (posted on this board in 2000), who said his wife is descended from James Grant HASSETT, however I've been unable to make contact with Ainsley.
