Hi! I'm doing some family research and would love to hear from anyone who might have common ancestors with me! Before she died, my grandma left me the following information about her family:
Her grandmother, Mary Hassett, was born in County Clare, Ireland, and came to New York as a young girl, with her twin brother. No dates are known. I'd say she was born in the 1860s. The twins got separated after finding work. Mary married Patrick Farrell, born in Wexford County, Ireland around 1860. They lived in northern NY and then moved to Bellows Falls, Vermont. Their children were: Mame, Jane Ellen (born 1883), Patrick, Will, James, and another daughter (name unknown) who died at the age of 12.
My grandma (Jane's daughter) said that she still had distant cousins in the Bellows Falls area. Jane had eventually moved with her family to California.
