My earliest known ancestor was JOHN HASLAM, who lived in Macclesfield in 1841, but was not born in Cheshire, according to the census. He married Martha Cheetham, and they had 7 daughters, and finally a boy, William, who was my g.g.grandfather, and was born in 1840. William married Hannah Sigley, and they had 5 daughters and finally, a son called Fred. William was a fisherman and won 7 copper kettles in competitions. Does anyone know anything of these Haslams?
