William Haskell

My ancestor William Haskell was born about 1800-1810 in England or Scotland. He emigrated to Canada, first to Quebec, then apparently to Ontario. From there he seems to have gone to Saint Lawrence County, NY -- towns of Russell, Ogdensburg, etc. His wife's first name may have been "Catherine." He may have died around 1849.

He had known children: Catherine "Kate" Haskell, John Alpheus Haskell, Maria Haskell (aka "Rundell," after her foster parents), Emily Haskell. He may have had sons named William and Thomas. Related surnames: Carlisle, McClain, Pierce, Cobb.

Any help appreciated. William does not seem to be connected with any of the "Haskell" families living in the area at the time.

Nancy
