Can anyone offer clarification on the following issue? In a book titled "New England Marriages Prior To 1700" by Clarence Almon Torrey (Baltimore, MD: Genealogical Publishing Company, Inc., 1985), there is reportedly a mention of the following marriage: HASSALL, Joseph & Hannah _____; by 1701; Dunstable [Middlesex County, Massachusetts] Apparently Willard Hadsell, in his 1956 publication of Hadsell genealogy, took this couple to be "Hadsell". There are other researchers, however, who have posted on World Connect (www.rootsweb.com) who say the Dunstable couple was named "Haskell". Who is right? Is there any evidence that this Joseph and Hannah of Dunstable left there and moved to the area of Westerly, Rhode Island? Or is there any evidence that this Joseph and Hannah stayed in Dunstable (children, grandchildren, etc.)?? Please post a reply here, or contact me directly at duaneaboggs@live.com, if you can shed light on this. Thank you. Notify Administrator about this message?
