There was a son of Peyton's named Joel who witnessed and attested to the brides eligibility for several marriages in Pittsylvania County, VA and Caswell County, NC. George Armstrong Harville was Joel Sr. son and he named his son Joel before he died at Gettysburg during Picketts charge. I have a large photograph of him in Confederate uniform hanging on my living room wall. Peyton was the son of Mark Mason Harville from Brunswick County VA. George was my great great grandfather. His son William was my great grandfather. William's son Elijah Albert was my grandfather. Elijah's son was Leonard Sr. (my father). I would love to get involved in a DNA study.
