My interest is primarily in Campbeltown, Scotland, and a John Langwill who was b. there in 1811.Langwill was probably the Master of the British Barque Tay in 1840 on a trip from Grennock, Scotland, to New York.
Although, this is secondary, a John Langwell b. c. 1834 in Indiana or West Virginia, married an Annie Gillespie c. 1857.From memory, Annie was the daughter of John Gillespie.
